About Jill
Jill Petracek (Pah-traw-check) is a photographer, videographer, writer, and woman about town in Los Angeles, CA. Her Midwestern politeness and warmth put her subjects at ease as she captures what makes them sparkle.
Her BFAs in Graphic Design and Studio Art from the University of Minnesota Duluth inform her tasteful retouching, deft color correction, and eagle eye for composition. You’ve seen her photography in The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time Out, and your dreams, probably. She’s also worked on photo teams for Netflix Is A Joke, Edinburgh Fringe Fest, and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
You can typically find Jill capturing comedians’ funniest moments at Dynasty Typewriter, The Elysian, and UCB Theatre LA. When at rest, she flexes her green thumb, sips tea with sugar, and satiates her expansive creative curiosity.
And the most endearing thing about Jill? She’s far too humble to have written this bio herself. (written by CheersMXJ)
